The Department of Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Indiana Hospital, Mangaluru, is led by Dr. Yusuf A. Kumble, a complex coronary intervention specialist, image-guided LMCA stenting, bifurcation, and multi-vessel PCI, besides being the managing director of the Hospital.

Dr. Yusuf, affiliated with FSCAI, FACC, and FCSI, has changed thousands of patients ‘ lives over the years. He began his career at B.M. in 1995. College, Calicut as a surgical consultant, later joined Wockhardt College, Bengaluru as a junior cardiologist consultant. He later worked at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Hospital, Mangalore, as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief Consultant Interventional Cardiologist.

Qualification: MBBS, MS (GEN SURG), MCh (CVTS).

Best Paper Award at the 10th Annual Conference of the International Academy of Cardio Vascular Sciences, India Section, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamilnadu, under Prof. Suresh C. Tyagi Symposium for Young Faculty Award.

Dr. Siddharth V.T. assisted around 480 adults, and he performed complicated congenital heart operations and different forms of lung surgery during training periods and performed around 250 cardiothoracic surgical procedures.

In 2018, Dr. Siddharth V.T. awarded the best outgoing resident in cardiothoracic surgery training at Madurai Medical College.

He is a Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGI, Chandigarh) Gold Medalist for his 1993 M.S. (Surgery) and M.Ch. CTVS with awards from the Medical Sciences Institute of All India (AIIMS ), New Delhi.

He served as a faculty in AIIMS for ten years before entering Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, and as Senior Consultant & Director of Academic Programs at Dr. K M Cherian Heart Foundation, Chennai. He subsequently worked for five years at the Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai.

Well, he was Hon. Professor at the Sao Paulo Brazil Heart Institute (INCOR) & Zerbini Foundation-One of the world’s best and innovative centers with 1.5 lac open heart surgery experience since 1958.

Qualification: MBBS,MD,FCCM,DM(CARDIAC ANAESTHESIA)

They are specially qualified in neonatal and pediatric cardiac anesthesia, both intrusive neonatal/pediatric and adult lines, adult cardiac and thoracic anesthesia, ECMO, 2D/3D transesophageal echocardiography, and treatment of post-surgical cardiac ICU.
